Background
About Mitch
Mitch is a rehabilitation-focused, biomechanics and pain science informed physiotherapist with over 4 years of private musculoskeletal experience. He currently works as a Senior Physiotherapist at Move Physiotherapy and Fitness, based at the Fremantle Rowing Club in East Fremantle.
Mitch graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) in 2022 and holds an ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning qualification (2025). In 2025, he co-founded WABIOPERFORM — a platform focused on criteria-based, adaptation-led rehabilitation and scientific decision-making in clinical practice.
His clinical interest centres on lower limb rehabilitation: bone stress injuries, lower limb muscle injury, tendinopathy, ACL and ACLR rehabilitation, and patellofemoral pain. He applies clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and biomechanics analysis to inform his decision-making throughout the rehabilitation process.
Mitch brings a background in AFL, athletics, cricket, and boxing, alongside over 10 years of personal strength and conditioning experience — covering conditioning, sprinting, plyometrics, and gym-based training. His own lived experience with chronic bilateral tibial bone stress injuries (over 10 years) provides genuine insight into the rehabilitation process and fuels an ongoing research interest in tissue loading, biomechanics, adaptation, and long-term athlete development.
