Move Better for Longer

Physiotherapist-led small group exercise programs designed to build strength, improve mobility, and maintain bone density — all claimable with private health insurance.

Longevity Programs

What we treat & how we work

Our Longevity Programs are run from our East Fremantle clinic, inside the full gym facilities at the Fremantle Rowing Club. They are small group, Physiotherapist-led exercise sessions — all claimable with your private health insurance — designed to take the guesswork out of moving better for decades to come.

Each participant begins with a comprehensive Physical Longevity Assessment — a structured baseline evaluation measuring mobility, strength symmetry, key movement patterns, and readiness for progressive loading. This guides your program and gives us objective data to retest every 8 weeks. We will guarantee your improvement over 8 weeks, or refund your out-of-pocket expense.

Why Move Physiotherapy

What sets us apart

Physiotherapist-Led
Every session is supervised by a physiotherapist — not a personal trainer. Clinical oversight means your program is appropriate, progressive, and safe from session one.
Private Health Claimable
Longevity Program sessions are claimable with most private health extras policies under physiotherapy. Check your level of cover with your fund.
Bone Density Focus
Osteoporosis affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men across their lifespan. The only proven way to maintain and improve bone density is progressive resistance training — the foundation of every Longevity Program.
Objective Data at Every Stage
VALD dynamometers measure quadriceps and grip strength — key longevity markers — at every retest. You see your numbers, not just how you feel.

Common Questions

FAQs

Who is the Longevity Program designed for?+
Adults of any age who want to move better, get stronger, and protect their long-term health through supervised exercise. They are particularly relevant for people over 50 managing osteoporosis, recurrent joint pain, or general deconditioning — but the program is appropriate for any adult who wants a structured, progressive, physiotherapist-guided approach to strength and mobility.
Can I claim sessions on private health?+
Yes — Longevity Program sessions are charged as physiotherapy group consultations and are claimable with most private health extras policies. The rebate amount depends on your specific policy and fund. We recommend checking your level of cover before your first session.
Where are the sessions held?+
All Longevity Program sessions are held at our East Fremantle clinic inside the Fremantle Rowing Club on Riverside Road. This is our largest facility with a full private rehabilitation gymnasium.
What does the Physical Longevity Assessment involve?+
The assessment measures your key longevity markers: hip, knee and spine mobility limitations; strength asymmetries and weak links; key movement pattern quality (squat, hinge, push, pull); quadriceps and grip strength via dynamometry; and your readiness for progressive, bone-friendly loading. It takes approximately 45 minutes and is included at no extra out-of-pocket cost with your first session.
What if I don't improve in 8 weeks?+
If we have not produced measurable improvement in your objective testing data over 8 weeks, we will refund your out-of-pocket expense — no questions asked. This is the same guarantee we apply across all our services.
