Physiotherapy for Veterans — Fully Covered Under DVA

Move Physiotherapy is a registered DVA provider. Eligible Gold and White Card holders can access physiotherapy at no out-of-pocket cost.

DVA Physiotherapy

What we treat & how we work

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) provides funding for physiotherapy services for eligible veterans and war widows/widowers. Move Physiotherapy is a registered DVA provider, meaning eligible Gold and White Card holders can access our full physiotherapy services with DVA covering the cost directly.

We understand that many veterans manage complex, long-term musculoskeletal conditions — including those relating to service injuries. Our team is experienced in working with veterans across all ages and stages of life, with a particular focus on restoring function, managing chronic pain, and supporting active and healthy ageing.

Our Approach

The Move Process

01
Confirm Your Card & Entitlements
Gold Card holders have broad coverage. White Card holders are covered for accepted service-related conditions. Check your entitlements with DVA before booking.
02
Get a Referral (if required)
A GP referral is required for most DVA-funded physiotherapy. Your GP will specify the condition being treated.
03
Book With Us
Call or book online and let us know you're a DVA cardholder. We'll confirm your entitlements and prepare the necessary documentation.
04
Treatment — No Out-of-Pocket
We bill DVA directly. Eligible Gold and White Card holders pay nothing out of pocket for approved physiotherapy treatment.

Common Questions

FAQs

What's the difference between a Gold Card and White Card?+
Gold Card holders are generally covered for all health conditions, not just service-related ones. White Card holders are covered for conditions accepted by DVA as service-related. Your entitlements are printed on your card.
Do I need a referral for DVA physiotherapy?+
A GP referral is generally required for DVA-funded physiotherapy. Contact your GP or the DVA on 1800 555 254 to confirm requirements for your situation.
Is there a limit to how many sessions I can have?+
DVA does not set a fixed session limit for clinically necessary physiotherapy. Your physiotherapist will provide treatment as long as it is clinically justified.
Can I choose my own physiotherapist?+
Yes — DVA card holders are entitled to choose any registered DVA provider. Move Physiotherapy is a registered provider at all three locations.
