Our Story

About Move
Physiotherapy

Four clinics. Fourteen clinicians. One commitment — to help you move better and live pain-free.

Since 2018

Built to raise the standard of physiotherapy

Daniel opened Move in 2018 at the Fremantle Rowing Club with a clear frustration: physiotherapy had become, in many practices, a disguised form of rest. Treat the painful area. Reduce the load. Wait for it to settle. Repeat.

The problem with that model is that it addresses the symptom — the painful structure — without ever asking why that structure is being overloaded in the first place. And in clinics built around small treatment rooms, there is a hard ceiling on what can actually be done. Manual therapy can provide temporary relief from elevated muscle tone. But if the reason for that tone is a strength deficit or a movement problem, a treatment table and a theraband cannot fix it.

Exercise prescription in physiotherapy has the same issue. Too often it is given without genuine reasoning — no analysis of why a movement pattern might be loading a structure the way it is, no thought given to chronic compensation patterns and their implications down the track.

Move was built to do it differently. Every clinic has a fully equipped gymnasium not because it looks good — but because you cannot adequately address a strength deficit without one. Every clinician is trained to analyse movement and understand loading, not just manage pain. And every treatment plan is built around the question that should come first: why is this happening?

What We Stand For

Our values

🤲

Pain Relief When Needed

Hands-on therapy to reduce muscle tone and deliver effective symptom relief — when that is what the situation calls for.

🔍

Understand the Why

We look at what surrounding muscles are weak or tight and causing the movement abnormality — not just where it hurts.

📊

Technology-Backed

We use VALD force plates and dynamometry to measure strength and movement objectively. Not guesswork — data.

🔬

Evidence-Based

We stay current with research and evolve our treatment as the science improves. What worked ten years ago is not good enough.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If we get it wrong, we refund your service. Simple.
