Background
About James
James Mehnert graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) with First Class Honours. Notably, James was named on the Vice-Chancellor’s List for finishing in the top 1% of undergraduate students across the university.
Football has been a big part of James’s life. He came through the Perth Glory development program, captained his junior NPL side, was vice-captain of the WA State Schoolboys team and went on to play State League soccer. He has provided physiotherapy support for an elite youth football academy, travelling with talented young players as they trial with professional clubs in the UK and Europe.
While James has an impressive background in sporting injuries, especially in soccer players, he takes pride in providing the same high level of care for the everyday person and the weekend warrior. He does this with strong hands-on skills to provide short-term pain relief, ease acute areas of tightness and restore mobility.
For longer-term issues, where strengthening is often the answer, he combines his personal knowledge of athletic rehabilitation with a strong foundation in rehabilitation principles. This means he can help people of all ages and athletic abilities build strength, improve function and move with confidence.
James is passionate about continued learning, and brings strong communication and a genuine focus on building relationships with the people he treats.
