Rehabilitation after Stroke & Neurological Injury
Recovery from a stroke can occur over years; however the rate of recovery is quickest within the first 6 months. It is for this reason that starting your rehabilitation occurs immediately; and does not stop upon your discharge from hospital.
The extent of your recovery can vary from person to person. Some can experience an almost complete recovery; whereas others can have remaining impairments. The extent of your recovery depends on your rehabilitation; and the re-development of neural pathways that may have been impacted by your injury.
Our Physiotherapy team is experienced in both acute and chronic neurological rehabilitation. We are goal orientated, and always ensure we are working together for your functional and lifestyle goals. This may include improving walking distances, upper limb function, returning to social activities and more.
Clients can utilise their NDIS funding. We are bulk billing directly to these support services.
