Melissa Hobbs
Physiotherapist- Booragoon
Melissa graduated from Curtin University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since that point she has worked in Community Physiotherapy, Aged Care and a number of Private Practices in New South Wales, Victoria and WA before finding her home at Move Physiotherapy in 2022.
As a professional Classical Ballet Dancer – who even went as far as Germany in her Professional Career – Mel has a unique understanding of the injuries commonly associated with dancing and these populations. This includes foot and ankle injuries, hyper-mobility related syndromes and other lower limb pathologies.
However as an experienced clinician, Mel has extensive experience with all walks of life. She has an excellent eye for human movement; and combined with her honed diagnostic skills – Mel can ensure that you walk out of your physiotherapy appointment with a precise diagnosis and carefully designed path of recovery.
Mel prides herself on her attention to detail; and ensuring that she gets to the root cause of pain and injury. She will combine both manual therapy – including massage techniques, joint mobilisation and manipulation and Dry Needling – with exercise rehabilitation. She places emphasis on establishing the correct fundamentals of rehabilitative movement patterns.
Melissa is passionate and dedicated to enabling people to get back to doing the things they love. She is goal focused and a valued member of the community in Booragoon; and the Move Physiotherapy team.
