Barry Moore
Senior Physiotherapist – Booragoon & East Fremantle

Barry qualified in 2017 with an honour’s degree in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons (University of Medicine and Health Sciences).

Since qualifying, Barry has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, aged care, community physiotherapy, sports and neurology.

Barry moved to Perth in 2020 to progress his physiotherapy career. He has a keen interest in strength and conditioning and has undergone much additional training to improve his skills in this area. He has experience working with a variety of different musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries across a wide age range, and has a special interest in treating shoulder pain, particularly rotator cuff tears and shoulder dislocations. Barry always takes a holistic approach to treatment and firmly believes in developing an understanding of how pain and injury is affecting a person.

Barry uses this information to set clear and achievable goals, which are vital for achieving best outcomes for his patients.

Barry is passionate about promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through an active approach and as a physiotherapist is perfectly equipped to do this. Barry enjoys assisting people to get back to doing what they love through reducing pain and improving function. To supplement this approach, Barry strives to stay on top of the latest evidence in physiotherapy.

Barry has a keen interest in assessing and rehabilitating sports injuries and has himself played rugby union and Gaelic football and participates in powerlifting and bodybuilding. Barry has worked as the team physiotherapist for numerous rugby union teams when working in Ireland and has treated athletes participating in athletics, rugby league, soccer, AFL, cricket, basketball, netball, powerlifting, bodybuilding and cross fit.
